CIledug-Tendean Flyover Project 17 Percent Complete

The construction of a flyover for Transjakarta bus lane plying corridor XII (Ciledug-Kapten P Tendean) has reached 17 percent. It is beyond determined target that was about 14 percent.

Currently, it's been 17 percent, and beyond our target that was 14 percent

The project is divided into 8 packets. The construction of the 9,3-kilometer flyover would take 661 days starting from February 2015 and targeted to be complete in December 2016.

"Currently, it's been 17 percent, and beyond our target that was 14 percent," said Head of Jakarta Bina Marga's Overpass and Intersection Department, Heru Suwondo, Tuesday (8/11).

Congestion Along Ciledug-Tendean Getting Worse

Regarding traffic congestion caused by the project, Suwondo claimed, he will try maximally to anticipate it by coordinating with police and Jakarta Transportation Department.

He also promises to re-function damaged roads and sidewalks due to the project, as before.

"The roads and sidewalks will eventually be functioned as before. For instance, if there are formerly 2 lanes, they would keep being like that, as well as sidewalks for pedestrians," he explained.
